Those of you who remember the
post about my visit to the beautiful all-American town of Athens, Ohio, and
the chance meeting with two old-school reviewer luminaries – ludicrous as it
seemed to meet both Prince and Bryce at the same time – will no doubt be
happy to see my pictures again. They will perhaps be even more interested in
this widened focus, including the minor original details omitted in the editing process.
As Orson Welles had shown in one of his later movies, nothing
is more educational than to look at things which appear banal and conventional –
twice. So, without further ado, we return to Ohio, land of adventure, and the
good people of Athens, in their natural habitat!

DeleteIt sounds somewhat cool, but I am already an attack helicopter. Being an attack helicopter easily beats being a vampire.
DeleteA lot of people underestimate just how cold Athens Ohio gets in March. Sometimes its so cold the air grows crisp and clear, and if you take the metro and go up рыси's stadium you can see the Kremlin rise from the morning fog like some castle out of faerie.
ReplyDeleteFun fact: wherever you go in Russia, whether it is Novosibirsk, Perm, Athens or Yekaterinburg, you can see the Kremlin rise from the morning fog. It is uncanny.
